| Soft, Pliable Flame Protection to 700°F. |

Woven Nomex® clothing and protective gear has been used for many years by race car drivers, firefighters and oil rig personnel to provide that extra level of comfort and protection from the dangers involved in working in and around intense flame and heat. Our Nomex® (NX) sleeving will do the same for your wires, hoses and cables. Nomex® is asbestos and halogen free and will protect your application in temperatures up to 700°F. (371°C.). It is unaffected by short term exposure to most acids, bases, solvents, fuels and common engine chemicals. Despite the soft touch and smooth appearance of its woven aramid fibres, NX is incredibly strong, with a tensile strength of 90,000 psi. |

NX sleeving can be cut to size easily with regular scissors and its smooth surface eases installation even over long wire runs. The densely braided sleeving provides full coverage and protection on even the most exposed applications. The construction allows slight expansion to accomodate irregular surfaces and tight turns. Standard Nomex® sizes are listed in the table below. Additional sizes are available by special order. The standard colour is green.
